Mes activités de recherche concernent l’étude structurale de systèmes à fortes corrélations électroniques et aux propriétés remarquables. Je me suis initialement surtout intéressée aux systèmes de basse dimensionalité (conducteurs organiques, oxydes…). Ces systèmes présentent des phénomènes quantiques fondamentaux et peuvent stabiliser des phases très variées selon l’importance relative des interactions en compétition (supraconductivité, onde de densité à 2kF, ordre de charge (OC), ferroélectricité, Spin Peierls ou Antiferromagnétisme). J’ai étudié les aspects structuraux mais aussi magnétiques des phases stabilisées. L’étude par diffusion diffuse des rayons X ou de neutrons, me permet d’accéder à des paramètres importants de la structure bien sûr mais également du gaz d’électrons tels que le remplissage de bande (kF), la densité de charge, les gaps, l’intensité des couplages. La diffusion de neutrons permet également l’accès à la structure magnétique ainsi qu’aux excitations magnétiques. On obtient ainsi une meilleure compréhension des fondamentaux. Ces techniques permettent également une investigation de la dynamique à la transition. Je me suis intéressée en particulier aux phénomènes d’ordre de charge ainsi qu’aux fondamentaux magnétiques associés dans les conducteurs organiques ((TMTTF)2X ou de nouveaux sels idéalement ¾ remplis ou encore les phases K-BEDT-TTF)X2(CN)3), dans les cobaltes NaxCoO2 ou dans BaVS3

Depuis ces dernières années, je m’intéresse à l’étude par diffusion de neutrons et de RX des effets de couplage spin/charge/réseau dans les systèmes multiferroiques tels que les manganites RMn2O5 mais également dans des composés au Fer (MOFS ou échelles de spin). Les systèmes multiferroiques présentent un grand intérêt au niveau fondamental pour l’étude des couplages complexes entre spin et réseau mais aussi un grand intérêt au niveau industriel pour les applications dans le domaine de l’électronique de spin. Dans la famille des RMn2O5 aux multiples transitions magnétiques et ferroélectriques, le couplage magnéto-électrique est mal compris. Il est attribué à un effet magnéto-strictif levant la frustration magnétique. J’étudie cet effet , ainsi que l’influence de la nature de la terre rare R sur les phases magnétiques et leurs couplages au réseau en étudiant des membres encore peu connus de la série (R= Pr,Nd, Gd…). Ces effets de pression chimique sont comparés à l’effet de la pression hydrostatique. Je m’intéresse aujourd’hui au couplage magnéto-électrique dynamique. Dans les échelles de spin au Fe de formule chimique AFe2X3 (A =Ba, Re et X=Se, Te, S) une phase multiferroique est prédite théoriquement mais n’a jamais été étudiée expérimentalement. L’effet de la pression est par ailleurs très intéressant puisque le système devient supraconducteur au-dessus de 10 GPa. Ceci ouvre un large champ d’investigation par les techniques de diffusion sous pression qui sont ma spécialité .
