Odile Stéphan elected to the French Academy of Sciences

We are delighted to announce the election of Odile Stéphan, a member of the STEM group which she led from 2009 to 2021, to the Académie des sciences.

Odile Stéphan, Professor at Université Paris-Saclay at the Laboratoire de Physique des Solides (LPS, CNRS / Université Paris-Saclay), is a specialist in electron microscopy and spectroscopy. Together with her team, she pushes the limits of these techniques to gain deeper insight into interactions between light, electrons, and matter at the nanometric scale. Her research spans a wide range of fields, including nanomaterials physics and nano-optics.

She will contribute to strengthening the core expertise of the Academy of Sciences within its Physics Section, thereby ensuring a high level of disciplinary excellence in support of its missions of expertise and scientific advice.
