Our research addresses fundamental issues in self-assembled biological systems using concepts from soft matter physics. Using techniques such as cryo-electron microscopy and time-resolved radiation scattering, we focus on the high-resolution structure of ordered or weakly disordered systems and on the out-of-equilibrium dynamics of self-assembly phenomena.
