Supercurrent noise in a phase-biased superconductor-normal ring in thermal equilibrium

We manage to measure the supercurrent noise in a superconductor-normal-superconductor (SNS) junctions. This gives important information on the dynamics of the junction.

Paramagnetic Singularities of the Orbital Magnetism in Graphene with a Moiré Potential

We present magnetization measurements in graphene monolayers aligned on hexagonal boron nitride crystals. Besides a sharp diamagnetic response at the Dirac point, we detect singularities at the satellite Dirac points.

Characterizing the helical Andreev states of a second-order topological insulator

Measurements of the switching supercurrent statistics of a superconducting quantum interference device based on bismuth, a second-order topological insulator, reveal that excited Andreev states are surprisingly long-lived

Detection of graphene’s divergent orbital diamagnetism at the Dirac point

We have measured for the first time the singular orbital magnetism of undoped graphene.

Microwave photoassisted dissipation and supercurrent of a phase-biased graphene-superconductor ring

We have probed a phase-biased graphene-superconductor ring via an rf resonator with a microwave pump.

Collapse of the Josephson Emission in a Carbon Nanotube Junction

We have measured a surprising collapse of the high frequency emission of a superconducting junction made with a carbon nanotube.

We are interested in electronic properties at length scale between the atom and the macroscopic world. The systems under study are sufficiently small for being coherent, i.e. their size is smaller than length over which the phase coherence is well defined. Consequently their properties are modified by quantum electronic interferences.  more…
