To elucidate how these phenomena coexist or interact, he employs state-of-the-art experimental techniques, including elastic and inelastic neutron and X-ray scattering. By subjecting these materials to extreme conditions\u2014very low temperatures, high pressures, and strong magnetic or electric fields\u2014he probes the organization of atoms, charges, and spins, with the aim of gaining deeper insight into the collective behavior of electrons at the quantum scale.
