About us

The team Matter and radiation (MATRIX), led by Erwan PAINEAU, studies the relationships between structure and properties for a wide range of material classes. It mainly uses X-ray scattering techniques and has developed an original and specific instrumentation for this purpose. It also benefits from a privileged relation with synchrotron and neutron facilities. Research topics: magnetic quantum compounds, polymers, elastomers, liquid crystals, nano-objects, nanomaterials.
